Business Need
Managed Services engagements often run for multiple years and require a centralized location for team information, operating procedures, communications, key links, training materials, and engagement-specific guidance. While standard SharePoint sites (non PDM working folders) support Site Pages for this purpose, PDM based SaveIt document repositories currently do not allow the creation of Site Pages, even for Site Owners or users with Full Control permissions.
Current Challenge
As a result, engagement teams must either:
Maintain information across multiple locations.
Create a separate SharePoint site solely to host engagement information pages.
Direct users to different sites for engagement resources versus engagement documentation.
This creates additional administrative overhead, a fragmented user experience, and unnecessary duplication of SharePoint resources.
Requested Enhancement
Allow Site Owners and users with Full Control permissions to create and maintain SharePoint Site Pages within SaveIt Folder-enabled SharePoint sites, while preserving existing data retention requirements for documents stored within the SaveIt Folder structure.
Benefits
Provides a single location for engagement documentation and team information.
Improves the user experience for long-running Managed Services engagements.
Reduces the need to create and maintain separate SharePoint sites.
Supports onboarding, training, communications, and operational guidance within the existing engagement workspace.
Improves SharePoint resource utilization and site governance.
While this request is primarily driven by the needs of Managed Services engagements, other long-term or complex engagement teams could also benefit from this capability.
