Currently, while working on issues in Salesforce template for Jira Cloud, statuses we set for the issues are displayed in quasi - alphabetical order, as on the screen attached.
I'd suggest to change the order of the statuses on the list to reflect the item's lifecycle, starting with initial statuses and finishing on the final / general ones:
Not Started
In progress
In internal review
In external review
Completed
Blocked
Withdrawn
That order is reflected in the workflow map in Jira.
This way, it will be more intuitive and user friendly to manage the statuses, as the list order will guide users through the process.

Hi @Pawel Wojtaszko — thanks again for raising this. We confirmed that the status list cannot be fully reordered to match the workflow lifecycle because it is driven by global transitions. That said, the team can use workflow transition properties to improve the order somewhat, and this has already been done in the Salesforce user story workflow.
If you’d like to pursue this further, please submit a regional JSM ticket for a project-specific change and tag @Daniel Mudd and @Snow Phyu for context. If this should be addressed at the template level, please send the requirement via ticket and address to Evan Warsak (evan.warsak@pwc.com).
Hi @Pawel Wojtaszko Thanks for flagging this — the team is actively reviewing it now. We’ll follow up with an update next week once we’ve had a chance to assess the best approach.
