Hello, currently "Deliverable" cannot be created under "Milestone" in Jira, so the only way to create a parent-child relationship for them is via "Linked Issues". This way has the following drawbacks:
"Linked issues" is a field with limited usability. It's not compatible with many JQL functions and cannot be used as a filter in Dashboard.
"Linked issues" allows more than one parent link which could result in confusion and incorrect management.
Would it be possible to add "Deliverable" as a selection option for "Milestone" sub-tasks (the usual parent-child relationship, not "Linked issues") for more efficient Deliverable management?

For Jira Cloud project customizations like this faster turnaround time will be seen by submitting the request through the JSM portal where the PMO Hub team can action the customization needs. You are always welcome to add them here for our review to help determine the best place for submission. I see that this was discussed in the Japan call and that you received confirmation that this Deliverable is a standard work type and unfortunately cannot be customized to be a sub-task of a milestone. I will close this item as Working as Designed.
