Remove 'Internal Firm Project' WS Type

The Internal Firm Project (IFP) workspace type is causing confusion among Engagement teams. IFP workspaces are intended only for non-client service delivery work. However, Engagement teams continue to select this workspace type because they interpret “Internal” to mean that the workspace does not require client access.

As a result, engagement (client service delivery) work is being created in IFP workspaces. Because this workspace type does not capture key client information, including Client Name, CES PRID and Salesforce Opportunity ID, this creates downstream issues with reporting and Save It as the system of record.

The IFP workspace type is not necessary, existing workspace types can support internal firm projects. For internal initiatives—such as Concourse adoption team tracking or a vendor application implementation—firms can use a Demo/Training workspace when no external access is required, or the standard PDM workspace type (using a generic PwC firm Salesforce Opportunity ID). This approach eliminates the need for a separate IFP workspace type while ensuring the appropriate information is captured for reporting and system-of-record purposes.
