Export project plan in MPP format

In short, we need exports in MS Power project format to leverage aligned methodology, as Plan B for clients that can't use pwc jira cloud.

Given the amount of Banks and G&PS clients that can't use PwC Jira for delivery, it would be great to have an "export to .mpp" option. This can be an option under the existing EXPORT button in Concourse (export in Excel, or export in MS Power Project format). I don't know if that would work in case of SAP Activate being in use. In theory this could be done from concourse to spare unnecessary Jira provisioning / licenses (and avoit export from jira cloud).

Canada has been using an excel Macro to do that - hopefully this is not too big of a lift and shift.

I understand that PwC US doesn't have G&PS clients but the rest of the world does and roughly 50% of Canadian projects can't deliver in PwC Jira because of client requirements. Same applies to SEAC and other territories. Sometimes MS Project is the next best option after PwC Jira. Please don't make us deliver multimillion transformations in Excel...

Hi @Kelly! I just tried this with ChatPwC and it said it can't help me with this other than suggesting off the shelf online converters and explaining what needs to be done. Have you been successful with this task?

Hello all, thank you for your submission. At this time we will not be expanding the export format however, we recommend you utilize a conversion tool like ChatPwC to convert to the MPP format where needed. We will retain this Idea for future evaluation and review of the Microsoft integration capabilities. I have linked the related ADO item for our Product team.

Does this link to the broader need to have more than one choice (Jira) for Project Management e.g. Microsoft Azure and also MSP? I believe this is a key unlock for Microsoft Practice adoption.

This would be an incredibly useful functionality

Yes, we would need to share a copy with the client and will be important to have export functionality.
