Hi Rose, the new template recommendation experience does exactly that. It recommends you either a practice specific template based on your offerings/ building blocks or a standard template. You do have a choice to change it. Once you make the selection the Jira project is deployed using the selected template. There are a few things like additional dashboards, plugins etc which are still manual activity post creation of the project due to lack of API's from Atlassian or plugin vendors. We are actively working to automate as much as we can.

My understanding is its a request for the practice specific template to be applied automatically without having a delay at workspace set up. How did you manage to tag colleagues- I'd like to tag Nadine Jolley as this was a transfer from EMEA Open Items list into this global channel

Hi Rose, thanks for your comment! To clarify your question about “optimized templates”—could you confirm whether you're referring to:

• Templates used during initial import or engagement setup?

• The project template selection process during workspace activation?

• Or the ability to switch project templates after a project is already activated?

Each of these stages has different capabilities, and we’d love to make sure we’re addressing the right context. Once we have that clarification, we can provide a more targeted update.
