Approval workflow is missing after migration to Concourse 2

Hi Terry — thanks for your patience on this one, and apologies for the long gap.

An update on where this landed. Since you raised this, delivery has moved to Jira Cloud
for PDM-enabled engagements. Project management features are now turned off in Concourse
(Concourse continues to own scoping, orchestration, and estimating), so rather than
rebuilding the 1.0 low-code Approval Workflow app in Concourse 2.0, approvals and
sign-offs are now handled natively in Jira Cloud.

What comes with your project by default

Your Jira Cloud space is provisioned from the template selected during scope activation
(Standard, Enterprise, SAP, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, Guidewire, or CDTR). Each
template ships with a preconfigured PDM work item hierarchy and standard workflow
statuses. Relevant to your original request:

• An "Approval" work item type is available under RAID management — defined as
"requires designated individuals to formally approve a work item" — so approvals
become first-class, reportable items with full history rather than a side app.
• Reviewer(s) and Members fields on work items for routing reviews.
• The deliverable review path from the PDM Delivery Standard runs through Jira statuses
(In Progress → Internal Review → External Review), with sign-off documented on the
Jira item and the final deliverable synced to Save It.

If you need something beyond the standard workflow:

Jira Cloud does support customizable workflows and built-in automation, but Jira space
settings are intentionally locked down for engagement teams — all roles have read-only
workflow visibility and no access to project settings. So changes like additional
statuses, approval transitions, or automation rules to notify approvers are handled by
the Jira admin team rather than self-service. Submit a JSM ticket or email
gbl_concourse_ecosystem_support@pwc.com describing the approval flow you need and they'll
work through the options with you.

One other thing worth knowing: Rovo is now live in Jira Cloud, and you can use the "PwC
Ask Concourse" agent inside Ask Rovo to ask PDM and delivery standards questions without
leaving your workspace.
