Currently the deliverable start and end date as set at the top level. In MS Project and other planning tools the start and end date are specified by the child tasks. This would be a great feature, as ultimately the deliverable is dependent on its child tasks.

Closing this idea as it is related to Legacy Concourse Plan page. These types of settings and configurations should be able to be managed in the new Jira Cloud delivery tool. Please take a look at Jira Cloud and tools like Jira Cloud's Rovo for support with date management.
